I like to pretend Hardison got Eliot, Parker, Nate, and Sophie to watch Game of Thrones with him and they really liked it! THERE’S SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE. And they just moved into the new headquarters (surprise it’s Nate’s place) while season 2 started airing. And they couldn’t find any bad guys in Portland so they marathoned the first season in their jammies! AND THEY ALL FELL ASLEEP ON THE COUCH AND ELIOT COOKED THEM BREAKFAST AND HARDISON GOT HIM THE GAME OF THRONES COOKBOOK. AND THEY ALL HAD A V. SRS DISCUSSION ABOUT WHICH HOUSE THEY WOULD BE IN—OF COURSE SOPHIE READ AHEAD—AND ELIOT AND PARKER ARGUED THAT THEY WOULDN’T BE PART OF A HOUSE THEY WOULD BE A BROTHERHOOD. THEY WOULD ALL BE WANDERERS AND SOPHIE’S A PRIESTESS FROM ASSHAI AND SHE’D SPEAK IN THIRD PERSON LIKE JAQUEN (EXCITING AND DRAMATIC). NATE IS MORE LIKE STANNIS (+MANPAIN -LOSING?) BECAUSE HARDISON IS AZOR AHAI REBORN (DUH). LET’S GO STEAL THE IRON THRONE. And Hardison would be sitting there proud (Y’ALL MY PEOPLES) and touched amidst the discussion.
Will I be disappointed if there isn’t a GoT reference on Leverage? Yes.
HAUS HARLAN LEVERAGE: WE BLOW SHIT UP. THE NASTIEST BAND OF MERCENARIES THIS SIDE OF THE NARROW SEA.
He sees himself as a negotiator who occasionally has to break the law, as opposed to being a full-on thief. He’s a guy with a skill set who’s found his niche, and his niche happens to occur in a lawless context. He’s OK with that.
As a matter of fact, if you watch Chris’ fights, he always disarms every gun as he goes. The point of his fights is to end the fights as quickly as possible. The character is frankly disappointed when violence occurs.
